Currently accepting new clients! As a queer, trans, non-binary human I will offer my lived experience and clinical expertise where appropriate to provide a safe and affirming space. Not only for queer people, but anyone who has ever felt alone or ‘other’. I became a therapist because I know how hard it was for me to find a queer-competent and affirming mental healthcare provider when I needed it the most. I specialize working with people who struggle with complicated thoughts and feelings surrounding sexual health & wellness, intimacy, desire, sexuality, gender identity, trauma, and non-monogamous relationships.

Your life is a garden; it needs attention and care! Therapy with me is a supportive, dedicated space where you develop into a skilled gardener who can cultivate the life you want. We will work together to figure out what are weeds that need to be thinned, and what flowers and crops you want to nurture. We will identify what tools, knowledge, and skills you need to grow your garden. We will navigate the barriers, internal and external, that have hindered your gardening efforts. Therapy can be hard work, but it can also be quite enjoyable, and you may be surprised by how much laughter can be involved!

I partner with clients to identify their own unique strengths that can be used as resources to foster growth and change. I am attentive to the role of early family experiences, cultural values, oppression, and stigma in shaping client's experiences. Particularly when addressing painful or traumatic areas, I attend to clients' emotional safety using mindfulness and body awareness. I believe that healing happens in the context of honest relationships and invite my clients to engage in open dialog about our work together.

Accepting new clients! The world is just... really hard right now. It's difficult to imagine how therapy would even help when the world is on fire. You constantly feel "other", in so many ways, which makes maintaining social and romantic relationships nearly impossible. You know you have a long list of things to process, but have never felt like you've had a truly safe, nonjudgmental space to do that. In order to heal, you know on a visceral level that you need to feel fully accepted, not just tolerated. You are starting to drown from the overwhelming stress, anxiety, neurodiversity, perfectionism, low self-worth, and isolation.

As your therapist, I will help you cultivate self-compassion, curiosity, and courage to confront your life challenges. My work with each client is individualized and collaborative depending on a multitude of client factors. My approach is warm, well-rounded, and authentic. In these instances, we are faced with a crucial choice—to either turn towards or away from a deeper understanding of ourselves. I firmly believe that every emotion and symptom serves as a key, unlocking doors through which we journey into the unconscious and shine a light into the darkest parts of ourselves.

I am a member of the LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent communities. I am committed to decreasing stigma around issues such as death and dying, gender and sexuality, and neurodivergency. Other issues include: anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder (BPD), cancer or other life-altering illnesses, body image, compassion fatigue, caregiver fatigue, gender identity, sexuality, kink/sexual outsiders, polyamorous/open relationships, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts.

My focus as a therapist is to assist my clients in recognizing their strengths and using them to become the best person they can be. I specialize in working with the LGBT community on a variety of issues and am a sex-positive therapist. I use a trauma-informed approach with all of my clients and have been helping those who have been through various traumas in their lives throughout my years of practice.

Hi! I'm Fai (/fay/). I believe that our experiences in society aren't one-size-fits-all, nor should our therapy be. I aim to support those impacted by queerphobia, racism, ableism, fatphobia, adoption, and other oppressive systems which contribute to mental health difficulties, poor self-regard, and complex trauma. Together, I hope we can challenge negative core beliefs, deconstruct the experiences that led to their development, and cultivate an authentic, compassionate sense of self.
