Practicing good self-care can seem so secondary when we must juggle school with employment with caring for loved ones and keeping up with housework. Together we will use coping skills, de-cluttering, and time management to put yourself first and improve productivity.

This is your journey, and as your therapist, I can be a helpful guide along the way. Sometimes folks are afraid of "starting over with a new therapist" or "having to rehash the past". It's totally valid to be nervous about opening up to a new person, practically a stranger, but the good news is, we can start right where you are! I have found my "home" as a therapist with the intervention called EMDR, but have witnessed the benefits of other interventions I am trained in including: CBT, DBT, CAMS, and Expressive Arts Therapies. Suicidal ideation, depression, and trauma (including surviving abuse) are my specialties.

Elizabeth Watson is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapy Board. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and minor in Creative Writing from the Ohio State University. Elizabeth graduated from the University of Dayton with a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Elizabeth's clinical interests include working with those with anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anger management, trauma and stress.

Jordan North is a Dayton-area therapist with experience working with an eclectic range of populations with an emphasis on life course issues, interpersonal conflicts and issues surrounding identity (gender, race, class, sexuality). Practicing mental health professional with nearly a decade in the field including roles as case manager, school based therapist and school counselor. Licensed professional counselor and school counselor emphasizing a person-centered and trauma-informed approach to everyday challenges. Therapist specializes in serving middle and high school age youth but is available to work with adults as well.

I am a proud queer and transgender therapist who has dedicated my practice to providing inclusive and culturally humble services to all. My passion is in providing care to LGBTQIA+ individuals, couples & families. Additionally, I run therapy & support groups for LGBTQIA+ youth and plan to create more group spaces for people to connect to their community and peers. I have also had the privilege of providing training and education to professionals, clients and families on providing a safe and affirming space for LGBTQIA+ youth.

I welcome all diverse individuals, relationships, spiritualities, expressions, & identities. I work extensively with, and enjoy working with gender & sexual minorities, intersecting identities, immigrants, parents/caregivers, & neurodivergent populations. I often work with folks experiencing stress, self-exploration, life transitions, grief, trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, depression & dissociation.

I'm Logan (they/them) and I'm an East Asian non-binary person who has lived insight into what it’s like to not be white, cis, or straight in a state like Ohio. I’ve lived in the Midwest my whole life, and I also come from a background of being raised in Christian/immigrant communities. I have experience working with the following: QTBIPOC communities, neurodivergent people, and people living with HIV. I’ve also got experience working specifically with trans clients who are exploring their transition process. I think it's crucial to provide empowering and identity-specific therapy spaces, especially for QTBIPOC right now.

Seeking help can be a rough and complicated process. A little about me as a counselor, I like to try and understand the person as a whole and work towards their goals through a collaborative process. Every human is unique, and I want to embrace that. I have had over 5 years of experience in the field of Addiction Treatment. Through this experience I learned to embrace the process of growth. I was able to see the profound impact mental health could have on an individual's life and became passionate about the field.

I specialize in helping LGBTQ+ people heal from the impacts of trauma. Using EMDR and other trauma and attachment focused techniques, I work with clients who's experiences of sexual or relationship trauma, difficult family relationships, marginalization, and more, have shaped how they see themselves and the world. As a queer, non-binary, trans person, I offer an environment where you don't have to "explain" your queerness, nor choose between a queer therapist and a trauma-focused one. My approach is social justice oriented, and based in the power of authenticity, acceptance, and attachment.

Each of us has an innate capacity for self-healing, and a safe relationship allows that ability to emerge. Trauma doesn’t have to be a big event; there are many ways that our systems can be overwhelmed, resulting in stuck emotions, unprocessed memories, and unhelpful self-concepts. Our natural responses to perceived threats, at one point, are wise and protective. However, when the survival response remains stuck in the body it can create behaviors and symptoms that are damaging. Our thoughts, feelings, bodies, and environments are intricately connected, cyclically creating and informing each other.

My specialties include navigating neurodivergent, transgender, and queer identities, as well as tackling issues related to autism and ADHD. Existing in a neurotypical, cishetero world, you likely feel pressure to be a certain way or meet certain expectations. As a result, you may be carrying feelings of shame, depression, anxiety, or self-hatred. Celebrating who you are or feeling pride or confidence might feel out of reach. I work with people to explore these sorts of problems and to create room for joy, celebration, and pride.
