As a trans masc, queer, and neurodivergent practitioner I understand first hand how difficult it can be to find the right therapist. My goal is always to create a safe and welcoming space for all. Please note I do not take insurance. I feel most useful when I am working with folks navigating LGBTQ, Addiction, PTSD/trauma, and disordered eating. If you have been in therapy before and feel like something has been missing or something feels stuck. I may be a great fit to support you in getting "unstuck".

Therapy is a brave step in the process of navigating life’s current challenges and healing past wounds in a safe environment. I offer a unique and compassionate perspective to therapy, employing IFS/parts work and Psychodynamic methods, while drawing on the transformative power of curiosity and creativity as impactful tools for healing and growth. As a genderqueer person and 10 year resident of the city of Detroit, I recognize that oppressive systems contribute to mental health disparities among marginalized groups.

When you’re around others, you wear a mask and pretend everything is okay. Beneath the surface, you feel a churning of discomfort, disconnect, and detachment from the people and the world around you. Sometimes, you feel so internally overwhelmed that you go numb. When you’re alone, the psychic pain sets in and your whole being surges with anxiety. You feel lost and like you’re drowning. The persistent feelings of loneliness and isolation are soul crushing. Life has lost its spark, and you are alone in the dark. You can’t calm down because being calm means you’re too vulnerable. You can’t imagine a different future.

As a Black, queer, transmasculine, gender expansive, polyamorous, and kinky healing practitioner Syre (he/him) is passionate about working with those who are traditionally marginalized/pathologized/othered in society and underrepresented in help seeking environments. Syre practices from a liberation centered intersectional/multidimensional feminist perspective with the goal of collaborating with folx toward embodied liberation. He has extensive experience working with BIPOC and clients who identify as LGBTQA. Syre is an advocate for those exploring gender identity including transition support. I’m dedicated to empowering teens and young adults as they navigate LGBTQ+ identity, disability, Autism (including PDA and high-masking profiles), ADHD, and anxiety. As a neurodivergent and queer adult, I know that these experiences are often misunderstood and encounter a range of barriers. I also understand the impact that a safe environment can have on the development of self-worth, self-advocacy, and self-compassion.

SARAH Abdel-Wahab-O'Brien, LLP (they/them) has specialized training in Social Rhythm Therapy (IPSRT), a modality specialized for folks with Bipolar Disorder. They approach older teens and adults through existentialist, humanistic, trauma-informed, and liberation lenses. HALEE Grams-Lopez, LLP (she/her) has experienced with utilizing Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused, Solution-Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treatments with children, adolescents, and adults.

I have experience working with college students and other adults, as well as with issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and self-worth; I also wish to work with folks who are part of the LGBTQ+ community.
