I'm Rebeks (they/them) - a transmasculine nonbinary therapist who specializes in trauma, LGBTQIA+ , life with chronic illness, disability, college/academia, and affirmative approaches to neurodiversity such as Autism, ADHD, and OCD. I love working with folx in the "gray spaces" of identity who aren't quite sure they are (fill in the blank) enough. My approach to therapy is to provide a sense of containment to enable the deeper healing-work — especially for those with complex trauma, dissociation and early attachment ruptures.

Therapy is a way to intentionally find out who you are, in a world that is constantly trying to define us by what we should be. I value a client/therapist relationship that is dynamic, where we work collaboratively to create therapy that is right for you. I provide a meaningful space for you to explore what challenges are present in your life. As you share, you will be met with compassion, curiosity, and acceptance as you work towards a greater sense of ease in your life and relationships.

I tailor my approach to the unique needs and goals of each client. For instance, I integrate cognitive-behavioral strategies to address specific challenges, foster humanistic principles to promote self-discovery, and employ client-centered techniques to enhance the therapeutic alliance.

Using an integrative approach, I meet clients where they are at emotionally and use a mix of narrative, relational, and mindfulness based approaches. I have an extensive history supporting folx from the LGBTQ+ community and those who identify as gender queer, non-binary or trans. In addition, I am a certified strengthening families trainer and have worked with parents and families in my private practice as well as in community based settings.

We often feel like we didn't get the memo on how to “do” life. As a nonbinary, Trans person from the Midwest, who transitioned in their 40's I can relate. I’ve spent the better part of my adult life unlearning harmful messages and beliefs, and relearning who I am. You may think, "Do I need to be trans to have a trans therapist?" The answer is no, working with me everyone can expect a safe, authentic, and sometimes silly space (with pop culture references) where we collaborate to find real solutions that dismantle the toxic and oppressive messages, and find solutions unique to you, and peace that last a lifetime.

I am a plant-based psychotherapist highlighting the importance of nutrition, movement, spirituality and environmentalism in connecting the mind, body and soul. I am also a practicing yogi, nature lover and avid self-healer. I am tender, integrative, grounded and nurturing. I center my work around connecting the mind, body and soul to find peace and energetic balance with various holistic and somatic practices. In using these approaches, clients learn their abilities to address any anxiety, depression, traumas, loss of self, difficult relationships and other maladaptive behaviors to become their most desired and divine selves.

I am a queer multicultural nonbinary AuDHD therapist who creates a nonjudgemental space for their clients. I mainly focus on the trans and nonbinary experience, complex trauma, chronic/terminal illnesses, ADHD/autism and grief/loss. I have clinical and personal experiences regarding my specializations. I have a deep capacity for working with trauma & supporting clients who think their story is “too heavy” for others to bear. I am really good at helping you (re)connect with who you are, who you want to be & figuring out how self-care looks like for you.
