Loss, uncertainty, and feeling overwhelmed are part of being human. We all experience moments in life that challenge our capacity to cope. Societal and familial conditioning are common threads that run through the center of depression and anxiety. Our limiting beliefs are not often truly our own, but that of a past wounded caregiver, the voice of difficult experiences, or societal norms. As a result, we often feel out of alignment with our morals, values, needs, and desires. The more stressed we are the more those limiting beliefs get louder. When we begin to do the deeper work to deconstruct our conditioning, we can step into taking more ownership of our lives and making decisions based on how our soul thrives-- not what someone else thinks we need to do or be.

In my practice I utilize a collaborative, strengths-based model to help clients increase awareness and develop strategies to feel more successful in their lives. My therapeutic approach is overall eclectic, drawing on my training in the evidence-based modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). As an LMHC with a Master's Degree in Art Therapy, I also incorporate expressive therapy when beneficial. In all of my work, I aim to focus my approach depending on the needs of the client I am working with.
