Talking about sex can be very challenging, particularly because we've receive so many mixed messages leading to feelings of internalized shame, guilt, and doubt. We are left wondering, "Am I normal? Are my desires and expressions okay?" We are rarely given space to have an honest, open conversation about our sexuality, gender or relationship structures and its impact on the larger self. My purpose in therapy is to create the space where understanding, healing, and integration of your authentic self can begin, where you can freely explore your sexual identity, expressions and ideal relationship configurations.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working towards AASECT certification. I approach therapy from an acceptance and commitment therapy emphasis, influenced by feminist, narrative, and internal family systems. I work with adult individuals specializing in gender, alternative sex & relationships expressions, desire, and performance concerns.
I am sex-positive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and competent in polyamory and kink/BDSM expressions. Finally, I seek to be inclusive of your intersecting identities, values and cultures, and the impact of those identities on your sense of self as a sexual being. **Please note, I am currently not providing couples counseling at this time.**
