I am a licensed clinical psychologist and have been practicing for over 25 years. In my experience, those seeking therapy are looking for answers for how better to navigate their lives to ease emotional pain and find fulfillment within their lives. I believe that life's hurts primarily occur in relation to others and that healing often comes through relationship as well, sometimes by seeking a professional's guidance. You may discover that having someone walk alongside you in your journey for a time, acting as a witness to your stories, is an invaluable gift.
I work a great deal with people who suffer with anxiety, trauma, as well as those who are grieving deeply. My work largely utilizes a somatic, body-based approach called Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. My work also includes mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. My work is designed to be collaborative.
I bring a Christian world-view into the therapy room. This means I believe in the healing power of the living God to help people move toward wholeness. While this is so, I welcome people of any faith or none at all. Clients determine whether faith enters our work.
