I currently offer sessions remotely to clients throughout New York State and Vermont, in person at an office in Chelsea, Manhattan, and via "walk and talk" sessions in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. My clients hail from a wide range of personal and professional backgrounds, but many are lawyers, educators, and creative workers. I am often a good fit for high achievers who are dealing with career and/or relationship issues, and I appreciate opportunities to work with people who have long considered therapy and are now ready to take the plunge.
I am an attentive listener, and I take a more active role than some therapists. I completed my MSW at UC Berkeley, and prior to doing outpatient therapy I worked on mental health mobile crisis response teams in California and Oregon. My approach is influenced by psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and relational schools of thought.
