When I imagine my ideal client, I envision someone who is feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges and is ready to make meaningful change. They may be struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, or a sense of being stuck. Their goals often include gaining clarity, improving emotional stability, strengthening relationships, and reclaiming a sense of control and confidence. Most importantly, they want support, understanding, and practical tools that help them move forward. They come to therapy because they are ready to feel better, create healthier patterns, and rebuild a life that feels fulfilling and connected.

Therapy? Who needs therapy? Not you, right? Yeah, that's what I thought too. After all, we should be able to just "handle things" without the help of some head-shrinker, shouldn't we? The truth is, you probably don't need therapy. You're not going to stop breathing without it. Another truth is that life is full of pressure and stress, and it's hard for anyone to handle it all alone. Many of us are dealing with childhood or adult traumas, anxiety and depression, and trouble trusting others. We don't always know how to reach out or ask for help.

In life and in my practice, I am guided by my curiosity about people and clients' trust offers opportunities for collaboration. I value creativity, individuality, and humor. I utilize a relational and collaborative approach, applying attachment theory, feminist and queer theory, the biosocial model, and trauma-informed care. My goal is building the trust and rapport necessary to express yourself authentically, especially in a time when spaces for that are rare. Here we can gain insight into your personal values, goals, strengths, limitations and what you'd like to see shift in your emotional and social experiences.

Conveniently located in Albuquerque's West Side, we specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic violence, women's issues, and relationships. We believe that the most important aspect of therapy is the client's relationship with the therapist - the client needs to trust the therapist and feel comfortable. Our initial goal is to create an atmosphere of safety. Sometimes it is necessary to access guidance from a professional outside of the current situation in order to assist in gaining perspective.
