Since the COVID-19 crisis began, I moved all of my clients to video or telephone calls. I plan on keeping my sessions that way. You may be having trouble in your in your life that you're not sure how to resolve? Anxiety, sadness, feeling lost, or experiencing distance between you and loved ones may be showing up for you. There are many problems that overwhelm us, and take away our confidence, our closeness, and our love for each other. What I do, and have done now for over 38 years is to help people struggling to find their way forward in their lives, resolve anger and upsets, and rediscover your own love for your life again.

I work with individuals to support their healthy emotional development and growth. I support and understand the complexities of my clients emotions through the lenses of brain science and early attachments as well as relationship dynamics, adverse childhood experiences and modern stresses. I help them to assess their life situations, consider their perspective and develop strategies that positively enhance the many aspects of their life. I approach this work with passion and look for potential joy and laughter with each session as well as recognize the ongoing struggles toward emotional health my clients face.

I am an independently licensed marriage and family therapist with an extensive background in Pk-12 and post-secondary education. I have been trained systemically, both in the areas of leadership and family systems. Therefore, when working with individuals and families, I practice a systems approach to treatment, engaging in the therapeutic process as a client-centered, collaborative relationship. My core beliefs incorporate the value of the client's narrative. I view the client as the expert on his or her story. My role is to co-construct therapeutic goals that can create a space for change to best support the client's journey.

As a professional my hope is to assist individuals and families to have better communication by giving new tools to address depression, anxiety, stress and relationship issues. If desired I incorporate Christian values.

Southwest Passages is dedicated to supporting individuals, couples and families find enhanced meaning and aliveness through successful navigation of life's challenges and transitions. In a supportive environment we listen for what the language of the body and psyche is wanting to communicate, asking even, so the natural architecture of who you are can realign itself. Shedding of skins and integration of unresolved grief and trauma may be an important aspect of our work together. Besides traditional therapy, healing and expressive arts SE (Somatic Experiencing) nature based practices and individual and couples wilderness retreats are additionally offered.
