I incorporate a holistic and integrative psychological approach which blends techniques from eco-therapy, earth based traditions,
transpersonal
and existential psychology, birth psychology, human sexuality, CBT, sand tray and depth psychology; to meet the individual emotional, mental and cultural needs of my clients in a safe and supportive environment.
The time is now. Today is the day to remember that it's just one moment at a time, one breath at a time. Taking a moment to reconnect with the feeling centers inside in a safe and calm way. Through talk therapy and non-judgmental creative exploration with color, texture, earth based materials, 2-D/3-D elements, etc., we can work on processing, communication and strengthening your personal tools for everyday living. I also have over 20 years of experience with women’s counseling, prenatal/postnatal counseling, birth coaching, nutritional counseling, and multicultural & diversity counseling.

As a seasoned practitioner and a Training Candidate at the C.G. Jung Institute in Colorado, I love working with clients who want to explore and make needed changes in the behavioral patterns that are no longer serving them in their lives and relationships. Together we can create an environment that safely holds the space for deep self exploration of defended wounds that are often manifested as addictions, anxiety, fear, depression and dissociative reactions; while working toward self-acceptance, non-judgement and the
transpersonal
retrieval of mind, body and soul.

I am a collaborative, existential, humanistic, and
transpersonal
psychotherapist that keeps an eye out for the big picture, whether that’s the relationship between bio-psycho-socio-spiritual health and one’s relationship with the natural world, or the potential meanings and purposes behind your daily struggles and “symptoms”—not to mention life’s tragedies.
By fostering deep and genuine connections with my clients, I help them develop deeper and more genuine connections with themselves. By clarifying what’s true for you—your needs, desires, conflicts, and dreams—the next step for you to take becomes clearer and less effortful. Together, we will resolve the stressors, conflicts, and adversities that weigh you down in order to find your flow—a way of being that’s more natural, enjoyable, and true to you. No matter how alone you’re feeling, how daunting the challenges you're facing, or how long a particular issue has been draining you, we’ll face it head on and find our way through.

I take a person-centered and
transpersonal
approach to therapy.
If you work with me, you will be given a safe space to reflect and make meaning out of your past and present experiences and find hope for the future. My approach to therapy relies heavily on my warm presence and ability to empathize in a way that makes you feel seen and heard. I believe success in therapy starts with creating a strong foundation of trust. Through the process of building rapport and practicing the art of vulnerability, opportunities may arise for you to increase self-awareness and cultivate greater self-acceptance and self-love in order to make positive life changes.

I work extremely well with clients who are motivated to change their lives. Often, our greatest challenges come during times of major life transitions. Through active listening and genuine empathy, I help my clients focus upon the inherent solutions to their most pressing problems. Motivation to change comes with the willingness to look closely and investigate the stories we tell ourselves. Often, I discover with my clients that their oldest and most damaging internal stories are simply not true. By having a fellow human who is open and fully present witness our lives, we can discover the very real possibility for greater health and happiness.

Have you ever wondered why it seems you always get the same results in relationship? Since there are many forms of relating, it's likely you find common threads in most of those. We live in a culture that promotes codependency and fails to support us on a path of personal empowerment. This colors not only our perception of others, but also of ourselves. Feelings of sadness, grief and anger arise, and are difficult to calm. With focus on intention, coaching toward better boundaries, and clearer communication, it's possible to find more joy and harmony in life.

Transpersonal Therapists
How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.
How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.
Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilize the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.
What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
