Do you feel stuck? Uncertain? Afraid? You don't have to do it alone. I'm here to help you focus on your life--where you've been, where you are now, and where you want to go. In my experience, therapy doesn't have to take a long time; it takes as long as it needs to, which varies from person to person. I don't believe in "one size fits all" therapy. We're each unique and together we'll find your unique path to regain and maintain health.

My doctorate is in depth psychology and integrated healing practices which means that I have been trained to help people use the unconscious to access the pain under their symptoms and transform it into soulfulness.
I work well with people who believe there is a hidden meaning or message in their struggles that can eventually serve as a path to a more soulful life. I see myself as a guide to help companion people through the underworld of depression, anxiety, and PTSD as well as a partner in transforming psychological suffering and intergenerational patterns into the medicine which can ultimately allow individuals and families to become more fully themselves. On the community level, I offer grief groups as well as climate support groups. Please see my website for more details.

In addition to having my Masters in Counseling and Psychotherapy, I attended Southwestern College's Trauma, Grief and Renewal Certificate Program where I became a Certified Grief Counselor. I am devoted to a compassionate and person-centered approach. I take my client's lead and am happy to provide the lead if they feel lost. I continue to study with my teachers, Rev. Dr. Ted Wiard, José Stevens and I am inspired by the work of Dr. Judith Orloff.

Sometimes life gets messy and can be really hard for even the most high functioning individuals. Facing uncertainty and learning to skillfully navigate the challenges that come with being human are ongoing processes. Having a professional you can trust to help you work through difficulties is helpful for finding answers, and can lead to improved physical and emotional health and wellbeing. Are you dealing with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, stress, overwhelm, adjusting to change, learning to set healthy boundaries, or find yourself stuck in or recovering from leaving an unhealthy workplace? If so, we are a good match.

As trauma therapists, both Bryan and Paul specialize in treating people who've experienced trauma, such as abuse, neglect, bullying, religious trauma, intimate partner violence, or workplace harassment. Trauma can make us susceptible to developing mental health conditions, such as anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, OCD, PTSD, and c-PTSD, which can leave us feeling overwhelmed and stuck in a life that gets smaller and smaller. This is where we can help.

My approach to therapy is based on the belief that everyone has an innate capacity for healing and growth. As we adapt to life's challenges, however, we sometimes get stuck in long-term patterns of thinking, feeling, behaving, or relating to others that ultimately limit our growth and leave us feeling sad, lonely, overwhelmed, anxious, angry, or fearful. I work collaboratively with clients to help them identify, understand, and change these patterns that keep them feeling stuck so that they can to move towards a life that is more passionate, creative, and fulfilling.

My practice is focused on supporting those using psychedelic medicine for healing. The term “psychedelic” is derived from the Greek words psyche “soul/mind” and delos “to manifest.” No matter where you are on your journey, if you are curious about exploring your inner world and creating a life that is more aligned with your soul, I am here to support you in your integration. Please note, I am unable to sit with people during non-legal medicine experiences or help in acquiring these substances.

We are all broken, that's how the light gets in. I love this quote! In our work together, you can expect to be met wherever you are at and to have your needs and values centered in our collaboration. We will attend to and nurture the deeper emotional forces within that we encounter, and use that to inform relationship dynamics that occur both in session and in your environment. I value creativity and find that co-creating metaphors with clients enhances a fuller sense of self-understanding. I also have separate creativity coaching options for clients with non-clinical issues who want to maintain, sustain, or deepen their work.
