I have been in practice for many years and have been helping people manage many personal problems. I specialize in helping medical professionals. I believe in giving people respect, support and help in understanding life's challenges. Depression and anxiety are the most common problems I see, wrapped in the context of many life changes, disappointments and traumas. Feel free to ask about specific issues. Diagnoses - developed in order for mental health professionals to be included in insurance; they are averages, not personal identities. Diagnoses are over-used, in my opinion - they have some relevance - they don't define a person.

It's important to have the right environment in which gives you the freedom to work toward your goals comfortably. My approach: using simple, proven integrative mental health/wellness tools with elements of cognitive behavioral therapy.

I follow the WPATH standards of care when writing letters of support for medical transition and can offer that letter after 1 gender assessment. Every clinician or student intern working with this practice is LGBTQ+ identifying or affirming so this is a safe space for you to explore whatever you wish. I have been a licensed social worker since July 2017, but I have been helping New Mexico military families, Veterans, aging population and the homeless for over 12 years. As a military veteran, I understand the struggles with adapting to civilian life, and have experience working with substance abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic pain and coping with stress.
