Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Group - This group is open to adults age 18 and older who wish to learn skills to manage difficult internal emotions, live more fully in the present moment, communicate effectively and successfully negotiate interpersonal relationships. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) was developed by Marsha Linehan. It is an effective, empirically supported, cognitive therapy based intervention system for teaching skills that will help in coping with sudden, intense surges of emotion. Grief is a process that can often feel isolating. By joining with others who are grieving, you can find connection and support. This online group is open to anyone experiencing loss of any kind, such as: death of loved one or pet, miscarriage, termination of important personal role, loss of relationship or community dissolution. Leaders will facilitate group in sharing experiences, grief processing directives, practicing mindfulness and learning coping skills. This group is virtual and open to any NM residents.
