I am accepting new clients starting early July 2023. My goal as your therapist is to help you become confident in who you are and the gifts you offer. My focus is to get to know who you are so together we can create a plan for you to achieve your goals. You are the expert on your life, which I know can get cloudy and muddled, and I will support you in sorting through your past and present experiences that are not serving you to help you move towards wellness in all areas of your life. You can achieve mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing!

Trauma resolution, couple and familial relationships, addictions/codependency, and destructive narcissism and harassment are my areas of specialization. I enjoy assisting clients in finding meaning, joy and connection in their lives. All of us have had painful and traumatic experiences. Modern life is very stressful, and sometimes we need guidance and support in how to cope with difficult circumstances we might find ourselves facing. I can offer a variety of methods to let go of the past and find clarity and peace in the present, and hope for the future. Meditation, mindfulness, guided imagery, and EMDR are some of the techniques I utilize most. I look forward to meeting and working with you!

Life brings us experiences which cause us stress, stretch our capacity to cope. We respond with depression and anxiety. We resort to ineffective behaviors such as substance use, attempting to maintain our stability. The impact on us can be devastating and we can spiral out of control, often resulting in a disruption in our relationships, ability to work, ability to manage tasks and affairs and our ability to find satisfaction or meaning in our lives. Using mindfulness based approaches and Internal Family Systems to remove blocking emotions and beliefs can help find balance and promote healing.

I provide a holistic approach, integrating mind, body and spirit in treatment sessions. I incorporate yogic counseling, diet and nutrition, clinical knowledge, Kundalini Yoga and meditation, to create positive change in your relationships, health, behavior or spiritual path. Addictions and trauma can have negative impacts on individuals and families. They can also be opportunities for growth and healing. In a safe environment, I work with clients to identify their inherent ability to heal and grow from the impact of addiction and trauma in their life.

In my work with childhood trauma, attachment/abandonment, addiction, and most personality disorders, my style is: Using existing resources, anxiety reducing modalities. Reflecting cultural attitudes and beliefs to transform the past and embrace the future. Utilizing pet therapy to elicit healthy attachment.

I offer deep therapy based on attachment theory and communication skills development, depending on your needs, to engage you (and/or your partner) in a meaningful and heartfelt exploration of your life support needs. I enjoy working with children, teens, parents, families and senior citizens. My 30 years of experience include ADHD, behavioral problems, family issues, depression, anxiety and autism issues.

I have been in practice in New Mexico for 21 years, treating depression, anxiety, relationships, and life changes. I am continuing to do video and telephonic sessions for individuals. I like to use a listening, supportive stance with clients to help them feel comfortable in talking about their problems. Some of the techniques I use are mindfulness, regulating emotions, relationship skills, tolerating distress, and mind/body techniques. I believe that therapy works, and is worth the time, effort, and money you put into it.

I am a prescribing psychologist providing medication management and diagnostic assistance to adults in Santa Fe. I treat a wide variety of disorders, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, to psychotic disorders. When prescribing, I combine my expertise as a mental health diagnostician and psychologist with my extensive understanding of psychiatric medications and how they work. I am a "depth prescriber," and in some ways may approach treatment from a paradoxical position. I treat psychiatric symptoms to remission with medications, using the best of what the medical model has to offer in the process.
