If you’re feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or disconnected from yourself or the people you care about, you’re not alone. You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, past experiences that still feel heavy, or relationship challenges that leave you feeling unheard or misunderstood. Perhaps you’re a teen trying to navigate intense emotions, a couple wanting to reconnect, or a family seeking healthier communication. You’re looking for support, clarity, and a space where you can finally exhale and be yourself without judgment.

I am currently accepting clients. You know how sometimes you start out your life and think you know how it will go…and then it doesn’t. Sometimes that is when therapy and understanding yourself in a new way can be the most helpful.

I have over 30 years of experience as a therapist.. I integrate different approaches to support holistic (Body, Mind, Spirit) wellness. I use different methods; often combining aspects of different approaches, to work with the preferences of the client. I am grounded in Humanistic Psychology, that is, the view that humans are essentially good and naturally evolve into amazing versions of themselves. Emotional pain tells us simply what needs our attention now.

Psychotherapy is a partnership with the goal of exploring who you are, what you want, and what is getting in your way. But how does it work? First, engaging in psychotherapy gives you the rare opportunity for another human being to focus entirely on you which can be healing in itself. And if that person is specifically trained to know what questions to ask and when to challenge and confront and when to support and encourage, then the possibilities for growth are endless.

"Attachment" ..... just more psychobabble, right? Well, no, not really. Since the 1950's, people have been interested in what "attachment" means when we're thinking about how to have relationships, of all kinds. Our very first relationship(s) are the ones that really form a foundation for our ability to relate to others, so the theory goes. Only now, there's a lot more research using brain-imaging techniques that help us "shrinks" know we're on the right track when thinking about attachment as an important part of helping people learn how to develop, maintain and thrive in relationships.

Over 30 years I've had the privilege of helping children, teens, parents, co-parents, adults, and families; facing tough and painful circumstances. Family, Children's, Delinquency, and Criminal cases continues to lend support for those involved in legal matters. Parents are powerful influencers good & bad. I work to improve, empower and educate for more functional relationships. Children and teens often need an objective ear to help them with increasing pressures. Adults seeking support and problem-solving tools for relationships, career, and childhood-effects are also valued focus. This includes the effects of trauma and abuse.

Is your nervous system feeling overwhelmed- like it doesn’t have enough safety or support to return to calm? Your body can stay in survival mode, even after the danger is gone. This looks like anxiety, shutdown, irritability, numbness, or feeling on edge. The nervous system learns to scan for threat instead of safety. Your healing involves helping the body re-learn regulation, safety, and flexibility so it can move out of survival and back into connection and balance. We understand this is not a personal failure—it’s the body doing its best to survive. Our therapists are here to help gently retrain and restore your nervous system.
