If you're like many of the folks I work with, you're capable, thoughtful, and outwardly put together- yet feel anxious, overwhelmed, or quietly hard on yourself. You might be juggling career, relationships, caregiving, and internal pressure—and wondering why it all feels like too much. Anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism and self-doubt don’t come out of nowhere. It usually makes sense in the context of some relationships, cultural expectations, and the pressure to hold it all together- until you find yourself falling apart. My work is grounded in a feminist, attachment-focused approach, focusing on empowering the individual.

I can rattle on about my 30 plus years of experience and training but it’s not what drives my love for the work and my belief in the human capacity for healing and growth. I’ve walked diverse paths in my career, all of which have consistently revealed the resilience of the spirit even amidst the darkest places. Love is what brings the resilience forward, even if you can’t see it or feel it yet, it persists. My mission is to help you to uncover it - your heart - by pulling back the shroud caused by fear, suffering and pain. It’s your birthright - to free your heart from suffering. If you take nothing else from this page- take this!

My specialty is working with neurodivergent and highly sensitive people, particularly high achievers and creative professionals navigating grief, trauma, anxiety, or a new diagnosis.
You've been told that you're "too much" or overly sensitive. You've been told this a lot actually. And every time you hear it, the cut digs a little deeper. After awhile, you start to think maybe they're right. Why else would you feel so chronically overwhelmed? Why else would you come home in tears “for no reason.” You wonder, “What’s wrong with me? WHY am I like this?” If you relate, you may be a highly sensitive person. Many highly sensitive people are neurodivergent in some way, and there are reasons for why you're sensitive. It isn't because you're being difficult and there’s nothing wrong with you. You’re just misunderstood.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.
How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.
What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.
Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
