You keep having the same argument, and somehow neither of you feels heard. One of you pushes to talk while the other shuts down. Maybe you’re managing a household together but missing the closeness you once had. You want something to change, but conversations leave you feeling more hurt and further apart. I work with couples navigating disconnection, resentment, and trust concerns who want to understand what’s happening between them and find a way forward.

I am a level 1 IFS therapist who has over a decade of experience working with various forms of trauma in different clinical settings.
Primarily a women's therapist. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and healing environment for anyone who is willing. Therapy should be a partnership between the client and the therapist, working together to foster confidence and connection to one’s self. I enjoy sitting with my clients as we get to know themes that occur repeatedly in one's life. I encourage my clients to approach 'problematic' behaviors with curiosity, moving away from the tendency to remain stuck in judgment. Oftentimes holding space for our thoughts/feelings and sitting in what is uncomfortable can bring us to understanding and healing.

My specialty includes using Internal Family Systems ( IFS) informed therapy and the EMDR lens to help reprocess negative beliefs about yourself.
A time comes in everyone's life when we need to do some growth & healing work. Thankfully the ability to grow & heal is built into our human-nature, a nature that comes alive when we receive the support we need. Therapy is for receiving this support, and in a way that fits with you.
Throughout my life, along with my broad training and experience as a therapist, I've experienced my own, and have guided others in finding their ability to overcome what's happening 'right now', no matter what happened 'back then’, and no matter what concerns there are about the future.

I have an eclectic approach to therapy and will utilize my training in DBT, EMDR and IFS to tailor to your specific needs.
Have you ever thought to yourself, “I’m never going to have a healthy relationship”? Have you told yourself that the best you can do in life is settle? Maybe you don’t feel worthy of beautiful relationships and experiences. As human beings, we can all find ourselves feeling stuck. Sometimes, this is due to painful experiences from the past that we haven't had a chance to begin to heal from. We might have difficulty moving forward after losing a loved one, relationship, goal or dream. Other times, it’s the things we believe about ourselves and the critical things that we constantly say to ourselves, perhaps without even realizing.

Come as you are and I will walk besides you on your journey. Therapy is about you as an individual—it’s not one-size-fits-all. I offer a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel seen and heard. Together, we’ll explore your experiences and work toward meaningful change. If traditional therapy doesn’t feel like the right fit, we can move beyond the couch and find a setting that feels more comfortable, including walk-and-talk sessions in nature.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
