I pride myself on helping my clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their thoughts and behaviors. I’m trained in Psychodynamic psychotherapy, Structural Family Therapy, TF-CBT and am a Psychoanalytic post-graduate candidate.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and an Approved Clinical Supervisor. I have had my own private practice in Red Bank NJ for over 20 years. Over the years I have worked with a wide variety of clients and as a domestic violence specialist I mainly work with adults dealing with relationship issues.

I succeed in creating a safe and comfortable space for individuals to access care by coupling my lighthearted and warm personality with over 15 years of clinical experience. I have worked with children (ages 3-18), adults, and families. I have extensive experience in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, self-harm, grief, and in working with those who have adopted, or those who are adopted. Additionally, I am happy to be qualified to offer supervision services to those seeking their clinical hours towards professional licensure.

I have over ten years of experience working with teenagers and young adults as well as adults and families with persistent mental health issues. My calm and approachable demeanor, humor, and communication style allow me to make you or your child feel comfortable and establish a positive and trusting relationship. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) nationally certified counselor (NCC) and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) in the state of New Jersey.

Accepting new clients! Dr. Jeff’s wide range of clinical experience entails adolescents, adults, and elderly clients. While pursuing his doctorate in clinical psychology, he completed an externship at the Rutgers College Counseling Center where he worked with college students and spent two years at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies in New York City where he received psychoanalytic training and supervision in individual psychodynamic psychotherapy. Jeff is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has a permit to practice psychology in NJ.

Legacy Consulting, LLC is a practice providing treatment to adults, couples, adolescents and families to heal the past and create promising futures. Individual therapy focuses on the specific problems of each Client using modalities that treat unique issues. Couples therapy focuses on three key problem areas in partnerships: relationships, finances and sex. Therapy is a collaborative process. In therapy, we listen in a way that is different than friends or family might do. Like working a craft, we attend to the details, to the storytelling and to the storyteller. Patterns emerge, who are you? What do you value? What do you need? We then begin to rework the piece, together. My aim is to remain open to new tools and language with which to engage in this type of collaborative and deeply client centered practice and I want the client to feel that they are the central figure in their own treatment.

I work from a holistic, person centered, trauma informed approach to care to meet clients where they are right now. I have experience working with clients of all ages, and difficulties including but not limited to stress management, codependency, boundary setting, relationship concerns, self-esteem/identity, emotion regulation, anxiety, depression, OCD, and eating disorders.

Currently, I work with clients who desire to be full participants in their own health and healing process. My clients are "seekers" by nature -- often on a spiritual quest. Many of my clients have already had years of previous therapy. They do not come to me to work on a "problem." They come to understand their role in the problem, to resolve it, and to learn from it. My "typical" client is someone who wants to transform suffering into meaning and bring purpose to it. Many of my clients are interested in using narrative or storytelling to tell or "rewrite" the stories of their lives.

I primarily work with children, adolescents, and young adults. I specialize in working with childhood trauma, depression, and anxiety. Regular talk therapy and/or doing it on your own (DIY) may have made you feel more hopeless, helpless, stuck and lonely. It’s not your fault, though. The traditional methods are not designed to help you fully heal.
