My goal is to help clients to work through their struggles and transform themselves into stronger, more self-aware people who can confidently achieve their goals. I work under a cognitive behavioral, strengths-based, solutioned focused approach to therapy where a client can better identify negative/irrational thoughts while gaining some tools to assist with the “right now” concerns.

Masking your feelings can do great physical and emotional pain to your health. I am both a licensed clinical social worker and a licensed clinical drug and alcohol counselor in the state of NJ. My 23 years of experience is primarily focused on treating individuals and families struggling with mental health issues (depression, anxiety, etc.) and or addiction.

My ideal client is an individual experiencing issues of anxiety, depression, anger management, substance abuse and familial stress. Many of my clients are veterans, police officers, fire fighters, teachers, 1st responders and spouses / children of individuals working in these stressful professions. Their goals would be to learn ways to reduce symptoms and improve relationships in order to live a more peaceful life.

Freshstart Referral Systems is a 501C3 faith-based non-profit organization that provides education & mentoring to individuals with life controlling issues, such as substance abuse/co-occurring disorders and or a history of incarceration. We provide individual/group support, we refer individuals to the appropriate treatment centers for help (Detoxification units, outpatient care, long-term inpatient treatment)… so that they may get a “FRESH START” again in life. FSRS also provides alcohol, tobacco, and other drug education for schools, churches and other organizations in the New Jersey and New York area.

Nurturing Heart's mission is to provide affordable, creative, therapeutic services to those in the urban community who are more likely to experience mental illness at a disproportionate rate. Nurturing Heart's goal is to empower, promote wellness, relieve suffering, and to restore mental health in a safe, nurturing environment.
