I have a particular interest in working with veterans, diverse peoples of trauma, geriatrics, and integrated health care. S/he will personalize what they notice/receive and share candid feedback on how to keep existing or try out new habits. S/he will utilize the available time to make use of what's keeping them stuck.

I have experience working with adolescents and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, grief, patterns of disordered eating, obsessive thoughts, struggles related to the military lifestyle, and adjustment issues. I also enjoy working specifically with individuals struggling with fertility, prenatal, and postpartum issues. I'm a master’s level clinician with a degree in Counseling and more than 25 years’ experience working with adults. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and a Certified Grief Educator. I work from a person-centered approach, meeting each individual where they are. I'm dedicated to hearing client’s stories, helping them heal, and finding ways to live a more fulfilling life.

I do my best work with male clientele. Most of my clients are comprised of teenagers and college-aged males. My efficacy, particularly with adolescents, has its genesis in my sincerity, non-judgmental manner, knowledge of technology and disarming sense of humor. It is not uncommon to hear from parents, “we have taken our son to three other therapists and you are the only one he will talk to.” I also work well with college-aged males who have difficulty transitioning from high school to young adulthood. As a psychologist, I am unusual in that I am also a lawyer who worked in government, finance, and media. I leverage my professional experience to tailor treatment to meet the needs of high-functioning executives. I typically work with people experiencing anxiety, attentional, depressive, grief, personality, and trauma-/stressor-related disorders, as well as people adjusting to major life changes. I specialize in time-limited, structured therapy. I provide detailed psychodiagnostic assessments and establish clear agreement regarding treatment goals before transitioning to treatment.
