I help my clients overcome OCD, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and perfectionism using Exposure and Response Prevention, Prolonged Exposure, and Acceptance and Commitment therapies (ERP, PE, and ACT).
My goal is to help you get better at handling painful feelings. We'll talk, plan activities, and try new things that challenge you. That's useful for people who feel "stuck" and are struggling to make changes. I also treat body dysmorphia and repetitive behaviors like skin picking, trichotillomania, and self-harm.

Through trauma-informed care, we blend practical tools with deep respect for your story and experiences.
You deserve a space where your story is heard, your pain is honored, and healing feels possible. Maybe you're carrying pain from relationships, sexual assault, or a faith community. You might feel stuck in shame, fear, or just worn down by the impact it’s had on your life and relationships. In our work together, we’ll sort through what feels heavy, shift the stories that hold you back, and make space for healing and resilience. Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about reconnecting with your voice, your body, and your sense of self.

I use EMDR to help clients process and move through stuck emotions from trauma.
Life can be pretty hard sometimes. Often clients come to me after suffering for a long time, looking for answers for why they feel this way and to find out how they can feel better. I work with first responders who take on the stress of it all for others, but they often struggle to provide care to themselves. As a former EMT myself, I know what the stress of the job entails, and I know it can be hard to talk about it with someone on the outside. Therapy can be a space to unload the backpack and get the support you need to start running on all cylinders again.

You are trying to be everything to everyone, yet on the inside you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or empty. You might be struggling with intrusive thoughts, racing heartbeats, or an "on-edge" feeling that never goes away. If your life feels like it has become a series of tasks rather than moments of joy, you are in the right place.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
