My personal and professional philosophy is "Life is simple, people complicate it". Let's make things simple again.

Life can be pretty hard sometimes. Often clients come to me after suffering for a long time, looking for answers for why they feel this way and to find out how they can feel better. I work with first responders who take on the stress of it all for others, but they often struggle to provide care to themselves. As a former EMT myself, I know what the stress of the job entails, and I know it can be hard to talk about it with someone on the outside. Therapy can be a space to unload the backpack and get the support you need to start running on all cylinders again.

Do you feel like you’re drifting apart from your partner, or perhaps you’re tired of the same circular arguments that lead nowhere? Maybe you’re navigating a major life transition, or the weight of past trauma and daily anxieties has made it difficult to feel like yourself. Whether you are seeking to repair a bond or find your own footing, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore the "why" behind your struggles and the "how" of your healing.

Even if you are exploring therapy for the first time or have had prior treatment, the initial contact with a therapist can be daunting. Feel free to contact me to discuss how therapy may help and if I am the right therapist for you. I would be happy to spend some time on the phone to answer any questions you may have as well as to help you decide whether or not to set up an initial appointment.

Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in NJ as well as a registered Art Therapist (ATR) and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). I tend to work with teens and young adults that are struggling with self-esteem, anger, school related issues, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I LOVE working with teenagers that are resistant to therapy. While I do have a lot of experience working with trauma informed approaches, such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), I approach each client individually. Therapy can be uncomfortable, but when you see a change, it's worth the discomfort.

Feeling the weight of anxiety, depression, stress, or other issues life throws our way can be overwhelming. Being offered support to help guide us through these heavy issues is something that many individuals can benefit from. Over the course of our therapeutic relationship, we will work on fine tuning the skills necessary to face the various issues we encounter. These skills include (but are not limited to) challenging our automatic negative thoughts, exploring exceptions to the issues that we face, examining thought and behavior patterns, and discovering effective mindfulness coping strategies.

I can treat anything a generalist can, but as a specialist in sex and porn addiction, men's issues, infidelity, and trauma I often receive referrals from therapists who understand an expert is required to treat these complex issues.
No waitlist as of March! Even capable men can get stuck. On the outside, things look good. You’re handling things and providing well for those you care about. But inside, you’re fighting a losing battle—unwanted porn use or other sexual behaviors that continue despite your best efforts. You’ve tried stopping on your own. Pushing through works for a while, then the pattern and the shame return. You’re worn down, worried about where this leads, and what it may cost your relationship. This isn’t a lack of discipline or willpower. In addiction, something deeper is driving the cycle. Real change requires more than generic therapy.

High-demand lives carry a cost that rarely shows on the outside. I work with men who hold themselves to high standards, perform at high levels, and manage significant responsibility — and who are struggling privately in ways no one around them sees. My practice focuses on depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, moral injury, and the psychological weight of sustained accountability. The work is direct, clinically grounded, and built for men who are serious about change — not symptom management. Existential, Jungian, and Stoic frameworks. 20 years private practice. Pennington, NJ. Phone consultation to determine fit.

Men's Issues Therapists
Is therapy for men different than it is for women?
Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.

How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can men prepare for therapy?
Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.

What should men know about the process of therapy?
One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
