I use a variety of evidence-based approaches, including ACT, CBT, DBT, emotion-focused therapy, and more, to tailor treatment to your unique needs.
I became a therapist because I have always been interested in understanding people and their relationships. When I learned about Family and Marriage Therapy, I knew it was the perfect way to combine my passion for helping others with my personal values. In therapy my approach is calm, optimistic, and understanding. I want clients to feel comfortable and supported while also gaining the tools they need to move forward. I believe therapy is a sign of strength, not weakness, because taking steps to improve your life shows courage and determination.

Do you feel stuck with a problem that you cannot solve on your own? I agree with a quote from Albert Einstein: "We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them." One of the best things I can do for you is help you process the problem that brought you to therapy. When the emotional brain is activated, it is hard for the rational brain to work though issues. Therefore, if you think you may have been traumatized, have an anxiety issue that is greatly affecting your life, or don't know how to overcome depression symptoms, I can help. I can help you discover who you really are.

Anxiety can take over how you think, feel, and move through each day, making even small steps feel risky. You may feel trapped by fears, panic, or specific phobias that pull you away from things you once enjoyed. Change is possible; therapy can reduce anxiety and help you feel more in control. I help people process these reactions and rebuild confidence after panic, phobias, or ongoing anxious thinking. Together, we will identify what gets in the way and create practical ways to reclaim daily life.

I draw from a variety of approaches—CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused strategies—while also using person-centered, relational, and trauma-informed care.
I feel like it's never too early or too late to make meaningful changes in life. Therapy is a scary word for many people, but when you look at it in its pure form, therapy is just a conversation between two people with the same goal of moving a person forward, and closer to their goals. I am a person who doesn't judge and just looks for the best path forward for my clients. I've been practicing for many years and love this work. I'll meet you where you are, and you and I can make a plan to help you become your best self.

Far too often we are weighed down by heavy emotions, intrusive thoughts and conditioned patterns. Through my varied experience I have been able to witness firsthand-that even in the direst circumstances positive change is possible. My philosophy is to provide you with patience; positivity and pragmatism while varying the therapeutic approach to fit your current needs. To foster motivation and facilitate insight, I utilize a combination of strength-based techniques. I also believe in the significance of incorporating your interests and creativity (e.g. art, music, theatre and humor) into sessions.

Life’s challenges—whether navigating systemic stress, anxiety, or identity struggles—can leave you feeling completely isolated and emotionally exhausted. It is exhausting trying to maintain a brave face when you are quietly feeling stuck in negative thinking patterns and disconnected from your peace. You deserve an environment where you don't have to explain your background just to be understood.

Hi! I am an trans-affirming and neurodivergent-affirming therapist who specializes in working with teen, young adult, and family clients around symptoms of depression, Autism, gender dysphoria, and trauma. Therapy can be a vulnerable and formative process, and it is important to find a therapist that feels like a good fit for you! I practice from a relational, social-justice-oriented, trauma-informed, systemic lens. I believe that change comes from authentic connection between a client and a therapist, involvement of a supportive network, and a mutual collaboration around treatment.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
