I have experience helping children, adolescents, and adults work through challenges brought on by their anxiety, depression/other mood disorders, ADHD, and OCD .
Congratulations on taking the first step to find a therapist! That is frankly the hardest part of this process. Taking a leap into uncharted territory and finally putting yourself first. Now you have the task of finding someone to help you along that path of healing and growth. Someone to help you through whatever objective you have in starting this experience. I see myself as your partner on that journey. I will be your biggest cheerleader while also keeping you accountable. I primarily work by customizing my approach based on your needs and goals. I’m here to be your copilot; you will take the lead on where we go.

If you are suffering with anxiety and/or depression, or anger issues, you know the pain and distress they can cause in our daily lives. What we overlook is the important scientific understanding that many of these problems are also partly the result of chronic stress, that has affected our brains and minds at some point in our physiological and psychological development, and the various coping styles we have developed to survive within that stressful environment. Scientific studies have shown that these 'coping habits' we developed, can be changed with awareness and training of the workings of our minds.

I specialize in providing individually tailored, evidence-based psychotherapy with a focus on increasing self-understanding - the way one makes sense of their own history, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors - and the examination of how and why individuals often engage in distressing or ineffective behaviors. I assist patients in improving their awareness of these patterns, and in the process make changes to allow for a richer and more meaningful life. I am currently licensed as a psychologist in the states of New York and New Jersey.

Therapy should be individualized. It is meant to be interrelated between the mind-body connection and soul (if you have spiritual and/or religious beliefs). I am here to empathetically listen to your needs so that you can reach your goals. I will guide you to become self-aware, learn valuable coping skills/strategies, and find strength-based solutions to your challenges. I will devise a unique treatment plan to suit your individual needs by using the appropriate evidence-based practices.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder in which people have unwanted and repeated thoughts, feelings, ideas, sensations (obsessions), or behaviors that make them feel driven to do something (compulsions). It affects children, kids, teens and adults. Often the person carries out the behaviors to get rid of the obsessive thoughts, but this only provides temporary relief. Not performing the obsessive rituals can cause great anxiety. A person's level of OCD can be anywhere from mild to severe, but if severe and left untreated, it can destroy a person's capacity to function at work, at school or even to lead a comfortable existence in the home.
