TELE-HEALTH SESSIONS NOW AVAILABLE. I treat clients who are trying to overcome stress, depression , anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, and relationship issues. I am committed to help you understand the meaning of your emotional pain and heal the wounds that block you from living the fulfilling life you want to live! Typically, clients come to me concerned about their place in life; unhappy with who they have become, and wanting more of a sense of direction, purpose, and meaning. I believe that individuals do their best to deal with their problems, but are hindered by coping strategies that have outlived their usefulness.

My strength base is client centered therapy. I believe that it is important that the client knows that they play an important role in their recovery. I will help clients set goals that are realistic and achievable with treatment. I believe that a strong client/counselor relationship is the groundwork to the healing process. I will create a positive, no judgment and stress-free environment, where the client is able to share openly and expect the best treatment.

An ideal client would be someone who might struggle with either anxiety, depression , or substance abuse. Their needs and goals would be to improve their self esteem and learn how to cope with the symptoms of their mental health disorder(s). They want to be able to work on themselves with the support and guidance of a therapist until they can do it on their own and live a happier fulfilling life.

I work best with individuals in which are internally motivated for change, looking to work collaboratively alongside the individual to explore depression , anxiety, PTSD, codependency, and much more. My approach to therapy is person-centered and solution-focused, focused on offering a kind, compassionate, yet straightforward approach to growth, which encourages individuals to think deeper and build connections that will assist them with a better understanding of the underlying issues. I believe that the client-therapist relationship is by far the most important aspect that encourages internal growth.

My ideal client is an adult seeking therapy of their own free will, even if they are experiencing some hesitation regarding its helpfulness. The client's lower hierarchal needs will be met (physical and safety) so that we can appropriately work on issues with relationships, self-esteem, and self-actualization. In addition, the client may have an array of problems related to anxiety and/or depression and will need a space without judgment to explore their thoughts, emotions, and reactions to the world around them.

I work with those who have depression and anxiety disorders in using specific treatment that allows me to work collaboratively with other professionals to optimize treatment.
I have worked with families, individuals, as well as, groups in helping them get a better understanding of whatever crisis's or emotional struggles that may hinder their everyday living. It is difficult to open up with family and sometimes it is better to work through some situations with someone who's nonjudgmental and able to provide practical and professional guidance.

I have a great deal of experience working with those struggling with depression /anxiety/bipolar disorder/ADHD/gender identity issues/and substance abuse related issues.
I love to help others. It has been my passion ever since I was a teenager. I want to be a positive support and teach others how to be the best version of themselves. It is so rewarding to be part of another person's journey and see them accomplish their goals. I also want to be the major point of support for someone that I wish I had and needed when I was younger.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
