My approach focuses primarily on building a trusting
relationship
between therapist and client, through which you can come to feel understood and supported.
Are you feeling disconnected, stuck, unmotivated, and like you’re in the passenger seat of your own life? Do feelings of nervousness and restlessness cloud your mind? Do you find yourself constantly doing for others, and feeling depleted at the end of each day? Do you consider yourself an empath or highly sensitive person, and feel as though no one understands how that impacts your wellbeing? You're seeking clarity on these complex emotional experiences, wanting to find mastery over managing these feelings, and desiring the feeling of being in control of your present and future while coming to better understand your past.

You feel like something is holding you back...whether it's at work, in your
relationship
, as a parent, or just in where you thought your life would be by now. For the most part your life, career, or marriage is ok;but you envision better. You want to feel the depth and intimacy you once felt with your
partner
and stop the ongoing arguments. You want to stop holding back at work; or feeling inadequate as a parent because you just don't know what to do next about your child's behavior. You are stressed and overwhelmed, feeling like no one truly gets it. Your relationships are well enough, but you are missing depth, connection and meaning. Perhaps you are waiting for motivation to strike you? As you wait, the days, months, and years fly by and you remain stuck, vowing that next week...month...year...or time, things will be different. Why wait? You deserve NOW. You want to thrive in your life and change the way things feel at this moment. You want to stop repeating the same patterns, arguments, and situations that keep you unhappy. Perhaps you can do it alone, but what if nothing changes? There is a better solution. Seeking outside support is a sign of strength and readiness for change

Although I have come to specialize in the treatment of trauma, I am equally committed to working with
relationship
issues and mood disorders such as depression and anxiety.
I believe that the most effective therapy awakens clients to the knowledge and wisdom that they already possess but are not in touch with. By tapping into their individual strengths, clients can begin to heal from past experiences and overcome barriers to living and loving fully. I am a cognitive behavioral therapist who specializes in showing both adults and adolescents how to reach their full potential . My practice is strictly virtual these days, which allows clients to skip the commute and connect with me from the comfort of their home or workplace.

Hello, There are times in life when we seek to make changes, whether that change is within ourselves or our circumstances, many times both. Life can appear stressfull, anxiety provoking or depressing, and sometimes overwhelming. Sometimes we need to find additional coping because what we are doing presently, may not be enough.

The atmosphere of my office is warm, accepting and open. Clients in my practice receive an initial assessment which includes their needs, goals, and dreams. My clients are individuals,
couples
and families who are experiencing problems with life and their inter-personal relationships. They are seeking relief from these problems and hoping to achieve peace of mind. I view a counselor not as a authority figure, but, as a guide, to suggest, question and assist in their journey. My office hours are early afternoon to mid-evening.

Couples Counseling Therapists
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.
When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.
How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.
How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
