It has been my privilege for the last 30 years in assisting my clients in resolving a variety of challenges - anxiety, depression, unresolved grief, unresolved trauma (both childhood and adult), marital problems and divorce recovery. Often when faulty learning (i.e., Stinkin' Thinkin') results from traumatic events or unhealthy relationships, effective help requires applying psychological, social and spiritual resources.

I have experience treating a variety of clients from young children, teens, parents, and grandparents. I have assisted them through traditional treatment as well as custody evaluations, bonding evaluations, reunification therapy, and learning assessments. In treatment, I have used EMDR skills to treat high levels of anxiety. My experience with depression and other mood disorders has spanned almost 20 years of practice in psychology. I work collaboratively with my clients. There is no question or experience too big or small for us to examine and unlock together.

EMDR heals trauma and PTSD.
Are you feeling hopeless in your relationship? Always angry or lonely? Feel like you can't communicate? Maybe you lie awake at night staring at the ceiling. Who this stranger asleep beside you? And the sex? You either do it to keep the peace, or it hardly happens at all. Or there's been an affair. You feel like the earth has literally disappeared beneath your feet. Your trust is shattered. I can help to heal the rupture and yourself. To talk to each other so you really connect, and become the couple you always wanted to be. There's no turning back, only looking forward to a happy, healthy future. You deserve to feel better.

I am also an EMDR therapist.
If you are feeling stuck in your life or simply feel like you have lost your way, therapy can help. I work with individuals, couples and families who need help with anxiety, depression, disconnection in relationships, or every day challenges that need support and guidance. I am dedicated to helping people with stressors in all aspects of their relationships. As a Certified Imago Therapist, it is my passion to help people reconnect by teaching effective communication skills. When relationships are not connected, it can feel like everything is crumbling. If couples are willing to work at it, they can become more connected to each other.

I draw upon CBT, DBT, EMDR , and Psychodynamic interventions combined with mind-body awareness to develop a holistic approach to well-being.
Hi, I'm Amy! I believe therapy is a supportive, non-judgmental space that allows us to confront what is not working, tackle problems, and understand goals. I work with adults and teens (16 years old +) who are looking to improve their wellness, manage emotions, develop self-esteem, improve communication, and cope with stress. Stress can be brought on by life transitions, trying to understand career/school and personal goals, navigating relationships, and much more. Together, we will develop an understanding of your beliefs and emotions, allowing you to respond rather than react in order to ultimately give you a sense of control.

I am an EMDR therapist with a history working with the LGBTQ+ community, particularly trans and poly persons, as well as the BIPOC community, individuals navigating trauma, ADHD, career and school issues, college students, academics, professionals, elders, therapists, and couples.
I intend to help you feel more aware, empowered & capable. I will bring ideas, experiments, and insights, with a spirit of open and nonjudgmental kindness. We will work together to understand why you're experiencing the issue and seek to HEAL, not just cope. I believe that the most effective therapeutic relationship is built on two-way trust and honesty. Our exploration will be conscious of our social locations and how environment and structural forces influence and shape you, as well as how we relate to one another.

I also practice Exposure Therapy, EMDR , and ACT (https://www.
In my 17 years as a therapist, I have worked with a range of clients, such as co-dependency, anger, OCD, phobias, panic disorders, and PTSD & trauma with individuals, couples, and families, and I have learned every client is vastly different. One thing that is the same is that the goal for the client is always moving towards living kind of the life they want to live. What that looks like is different for everyone because we all have our own set of values. But the stronger our values, the harder it can be to accept ourselves and others in the world. I help clients find that balance for themselves!

EMDR Therapists
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is an information processing therapy that helps clients cope with trauma, addictions, and phobias. During this treatment, the patient focuses on a specific thought, image, emotion, or sensation while simultaneously watching the therapist's finger or baton move in front of his or her eyes. The client is told to recognize what comes up for him/her when thinking of an image; then the client is told to let it go while doing bilateral stimulation.
