I specialize in working with women , queer women , and non binary people.
Maybe others would look at you and think everything is fine, great even - but inside, you struggle. You might consider yourself an over-achiever or people-pleaser, even if you come off as independent. We'll define the main issues in your life, whether based in the past/present/future and identify strategies to help you feel less stressed in the day to day, while also exploring your experiences to gain a deeper understanding of the story of how you came to be who you are, and write the story you want for your life moving forward.

I also currently offer an OCD online course for women struggling with OCD.
Before you can even grab your coffee the intrusive thoughts and feelings flood in. The urge to do compulsions is on repeat in your mind throughout the day. Other people seem connected to their life, moving through it naturally and freely..... You want that too. I hear you! That's why I work with women to help them let go of the doubt & the need for certainty and to find peace & contentment in their life. I want you to learn how to stop answering the "what if..." questions and lean into your values-filled life instead.

My clients come to me for things like relationship issues, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, inner child work, setting boundaries, life transitions, emotional regulation, shame, and codependency. I help stressed-out, overachieving women overcome impostor syndrome and dissatisfaction. What makes me come alive is seeing women realize the unlimited potential within them. When women can take care of themselves personally, their light shines through, and the best version of them shows up professionally. And that version is a badass who stands tall, knows her worth, and lights up the world. As a result of working with me, women go from just chasing the brass ring to achieving sustainable happiness in every aspect of their lives. Licensed in New York, New Jersey, California, Florida, and South Carolina.

I work closely with men and women facing various challenges, including how to deal with grief, a complicated relationship, family, work, and societal problems.
You know how sometimes we examine our situation and wonder how it is that we got here? There's so much going on in the world today. In examining our current state we can experience a mixture of emotions: fear, frustration, and a longing for something different. This is normal. However, sometimes these feelings can become more overwhelming than we would like, and they begin to affect us in different areas of our life such as work, family, and relationships.

For the past 21 years, I've been helping women bring their hearts, bodies, and minds in the present, so they no longer feel defined by what happened.
You're in the right place if you are going through big change and you’ve had painful experiences or trauma earlier in your life. When you've experienced trauma, this change is even harder. Despite the DIY and talk therapy you've already tried, you still feel stuck in the same patterns. You can feel overwhelmed when the usual ways you cope no longer work. You can't stop thinking about the past. You sometimes feel like the world is too much. Even though you feel alone and afraid, you don't want anyone to know. All of this makes it hard to find help that actually works.

My philosophy is to provide a confidential environment in which women and teens feel free to express their feelings and communicate concerns.
Is work or school stressing you out? Are you tired of feeling on edge and not being happy? Are you having a hard time with friends/bullies or the changes in your life? If this is you, It is time for you to take care of yourself and address what is holding you back from a fulfilling and happier life. We often wear many hats and don't regularly take the time to address our needs. This often leads to being stressed, depressed, and anxious. I believe that everyone, no matter their life circumstances, can heal and grow. I am confident that you can not just survive in life, but thrive!

I specialize in anxiety in women . You are someone who works hard at what you do, yet still feel unfulfilled. The continuous cycle of negative thoughts, difficulty in relationships, or life changes continue to sit at the pilot seat in your mind. While you know this isn’t a way to continue, you have had difficulty in managing these things on your own. Finding the time, resources, & support has been difficult. You no longer want to continue going day to day in this state and are ready to get out of fight or flight mode, raise your self esteem, and not constantly be on edge. You need a space to explore your core elements & want support.

You're not a bad mom. You're overwhelmed. My clients are stressed and exhausted by modern motherhood. They're trying really hard to keep their heads above water. They don't feel good enough and question if they're doing it right. They feel depressed, anxious, angry, and disconnected from themselves. Depression and anxiety impact 1 in 7 women who are pregnant and up to one year postpartum. Great news is that it's treatable. You're not doing anything wrong and you're not to blame.

Female Therapists

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?

In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.

Should I see a female therapist?

Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?

Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?

It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
