My ideal client would be an individual that is struggling with a mental health disorder or a real life problem situation. The goal is to assist the individual in processing their feelings utilizing the Strength-Based approach. I provide active listening skills and sound feedback to assist the client to progress through their situation(s). I believe in building a relationship to authenticate real problem solving techniques. I don’t know all the answers but I believe by partnering up with the client we can make significant progress.

Are you the one everyone leans on, but deep down you're tired of carrying it all alone? Maybe you're navigating pressure as a first-gen son or daughter, hiding pain behind your smile, or numbing stress in ways you don’t talk about. You deserve support that makes sense for you—from someone who gets the cultural weight you carry. I am a proud Bilingual Latinx therapist specializing in helping people of color and first-generation work through trauma, anxiety, and substance use with compassion, creativity, and respect.

Come as you are and let us reason together and work together in a compassionate and trusting environment. Carl Jung once said, "I am not what happens to me, I am what I chose to become". The third President of the United States in his personal conviction stated, "Nothing can stop the Man, or the Woman with the right Mental attitude(faith)from achieving his or her goals. Don't live in chains when you have the key to unlock the doors of your inherent capabilities for personal growth and self actualization. As a practical and analytical Client-centered therapist, my goal is to help and guide you create the right Mental attitude.

Therapy is about opportunities and possibilities. Opportunities and possibilities are done with exploration, discovery, and destinations. I am the guide supporting someone to realize those opportunities and possibilities supporting the individual through their own exploration, discovery and destinations. This is done with a focus on the individual not theories. Instead, I am someone who uses creativity and flexibility within the theories to help connect with the individual. Without a healthy therapeutic relationship, the goals the individual wants to achieve in therapy will not be obtained. Therapy is about you, not theories.

Most of my clients have a substance use disorder that is co-occurring with other conditions. These disorders manifest as severe behavioral issues that lead to biopsychosocial impairments. Some clients had problems with the criminal justice system, state and local agencies, schools, employers, family, and the community due to undesirable behavior. They need help turning their lives around. As Person-centered, solution-focused Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor, I establish therapeutic relationships anchored in cultural diversity to provide individualized treatment to help my clients make the change they desire.

Taking the first step toward therapy can be a brave and meaningful choice. Maybe anxiety won’t quiet down, your mood feels heavy, or you’re stuck in relationship patterns you don’t know how to break. You want to feel better, to stop overthinking, and to enjoy your life more fully. I work best with clients who are thoughtful and open to exploring the deeper “why” behind their struggles. Together, we’ll explore your story with compassion and curiosity, identify unhelpful patterns, and build practical tools that align with your values—so you can feel more grounded, connected, and in control.

Many of us neglect our mental health because seeking help can feel like admitting weakness. But in truth, there is strength in acknowledging when we’re not okay. As a therapist, with nine years of experience in community social services, I’m passionate about helping dismantle the stigma that keeps mental health a taboo topic.

Are you feeling anxious, depressed, angry, or simply stuck? Do you find yourself struggling with low self-esteem, difficult relationships, or uncertainty about your direction in life? If so, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I understand how painful it can be to feel disconnected from the life you want. But I’ve also seen how therapy can be a powerful and transformative process—helping people gain clarity, build resilience, and make meaningful, lasting changes.

Life has plenty of curve balls and you don't have to swing all alone. Throughout life we have valleys and peaks. Sometimes we just need to remember that the storm doesn't last. Psychological hinderances such as the inner critic, negative self talk, painful past experiences, or bodily sensations such as heaviness or body tension can all hinder us from the life we want. We all want something in life and there will be a obstacle on that journey. I can help you on your journey. I am currently accepting health insurance in New Jersey, Colorado and Ohio.

Male Therapists

As a man, why might I want to see a male therapist?

There are many reasons a man might wish to work with a male therapist, including a degree of shared identity, which may help client and therapist connect to each other and allow for a more free-flowing discussion of issues that can be deeply personal. Some men may feel more comfortable talking to a male therapist about relationship concerns, the pressures they feel around the roles society and family place on men, career or job challenges, self-esteem, or anger problems. For some men who have not had a male role models in their lives, a good male therapist may be especially helpful.

How can I find out about a therapist’s experience treating men?

Individuals looking for treatment should feel comfortable directly asking a therapist about their history treating men overall and the issues that arise in therapy with men. A good therapist will be happy to discuss such matters as well as their educational background, approach to treatment, and how they think they can aid a prospective client.

Can clients benefit from having a therapist of the same gender?

Therapy is not gender-specific, but some men as well as women feel more comfortable opening up about their experiences and history with therapists of a specific gender. An individual may feel that they have to explain less background information and be on the same page more quickly, particularly when discussing gender-specific challenges. That said, a good clinician can transcend most if not all gender concerns. Ultimately, the most important factor in therapy is the connection and trust the client is able to build with the practitioner.

Would a male therapist have specific training in treating men?

Generally, no. There are no certifications for treating men specifically, but there are continuing education classes that therapists may take that focus on treating men as a group. There are many therapists who focus on men and male issues in their treatment and therefore have experience and expertise in this domain.
