Licensed to practice in both New Jersey and Florida, I’m committed to providing a calm, compassionate, non-judgmental environment where you can explore your inner world with clarity and confidence.
Therapy offers a space to understand patterns, resolve inner conflicts, and reconnect with yourself. I integrate creative and evidence-based approaches to identify the deeper roots of symptoms: trauma, attachment, nervous-system imprints, and the stories that shape your experience.

My philosophy of therapy and change is that change comes from within. As a therapist, I ask a great deal in asking an individual to change, as change is an incredibly difficult task for everyone. The journey of change requires both the client and myself to work collaboratively throughout this journey. It is for this reason that the rapport between the client and myself is critical. I aim to provide all my clients with the space to explore their underlying feelings, thoughts, and behaviors so that they can engage in change.

Growth doesn’t happen because life forces you to change. It happens when you decide you’re ready for something more. Everything is constantly in the process of becoming its opposite—struggle can become strength, uncertainty can become clarity, and fear can become courage. Sometimes, all it takes is the willingness to begin.
Therapy isn’t about labels or judgment, it is about perspective and understanding the patterns that shaped you, letting go of what no longer serves you, and creating something better. At Platinum Counseling, we keep it real. No pressure to be perfect. No cookie-cutter approach. Just genuine conversations.

With children I almost always incorporate play and art therapy, and many teens and adults enjoy these as well!
The idea of finding a therapist can be daunting, especially for those who are already feeling overwhelmed. I take a low pressure approach that allows for safety while we build trust. I have a passion for working with youth; most of my clients are aged 5-35 struggling with history of trauma, frequent anxiety, and difficulties with regulating emotions and/or behaviors. That being said, I’ve recently done some wonderful work with older adults as well. I am especially passionate about helping individuals who have had difficulty enjoying therapy previously, as I believe sessions should typically feel empowering rather than upsetting.

I have worked with addiction, trauma, severe mental illness, and clients moving through various life phases of self-development and growth. This has strengthened my humanistic approach in aiding clients in their healing and self-discovery journey. I strongly believe that no two people are the same even when presenting as extremely similar. In my humanistic approach, everyone has their own experiences, despite their mental health status, and should be equipped with the tools that will help them thrive in the world.

I'm a licensed art therapist too.
You're not broken. You're exhausted from carrying something too heavy, too long, without the right support. Maybe it's a relationship that keeps ending the same way. A version of yourself you don't recognize. A habit you're ashamed of but can't quit. A life that looks fine on paper but feels completely off. You've tried to figure it out alone, and that's not working anymore. I work with adults who are done waiting to feel better: people in the thick of divorce, addiction, trauma, career upheaval, or that quiet desperation that's hard to name. What my clients share isn't a diagnosis. It's a readiness to change. My work is completely

Art Therapy
How does art therapy work?
The process of making art allows people to express themselves. Art-making can take many forms, such as painting, collage, or sculpting. The therapist asks questions that the work elicits, such as how the person felt while creating their piece, or if any memories surfaced that they can discuss. The therapist will then work with the patient to process their experience, understand themselves better, and work toward change.
Does art therapy help with trauma?
Art therapy can be a valuable treatment option for those suffering from trauma. Traumatic experiences such as combat, rape, or childhood abuse can be so painful that articulating them can be too scary or painful; creating art allows people to express themselves without words, and tell their story in a different way. The physical nature of creating art can also help people feel rooted in the body, which may benefit those who feel disconnected from their body in the aftermath of trauma.
How long does art therapy last?
The duration of art therapy varies, but a common length for treatment is 10 to 15 weekly sessions. Some people may see improvement in just a few weeks, while others may choose to remain in therapy longer term. Patients should periodically discuss their goals with their therapist to make sure the two are aligned on process and progress.
What are the limitations of art therapy?
Art therapy is helpful for many people, but a limitation is that it doesn’t have as robust an evidence base as other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy. The evidence on art therapy is mixed; some research demonstrates its benefits, while other research suggests that it has little impact on patients.
