I help women, moms, & adults who are struggling with anxiety, burnout, or the overwhelm of postpartum life feel more calm, confident, and connected.
This mom thing is a lot! You are juggling work, family, the endless mental load of remembering everyone’s everything... and somehow still feel like you’re not doing enough. You catch yourself snapping at your kids, scrolling for escape, and wondering when you stopped feeling like yourself. Then comes the guilt for even feeling that way. You tell yourself to be grateful, but honestly—you’re just tired, touched-out, and trying to survive on caffeine and guilt trips.

Accepting New Clients! Finding a therapist you can truly trust is such an important step. Therapy should feel like a space where you can exhale, where you don’t have to perform, fix yourself, or have it all figured out.

My ideal clients include children adolescents experiencing depression related to identity challenges, family conflict, and low self-esteem. These youth often benefit from developing stability in at least one area of their lives and strengthening their ability to set and maintain healthy boundaries within their environments. When their core needs are acknowledged and supported, they can reduce self-blame and experience meaningful decreases in depressive symptoms. I am also deeply interested in working with couples who are seeking to improve communication, rebuild trust, or navigate significant transitions.

I became a therapist because I have always cared deeply about people’s emotional well-being. I appreciate the opportunity to listen with empathy and compassion, supporting others as they thoughtfully explore and make sense of their feelings in a safe and accepting environment. I value being present with individuals as they gain clarity and strength through their own experiences. I am committed to understanding emotions within the context of life’s challenges, including how culture, identity, and societal influences shape one’s experiences. My work is guided by empathy, curiosity, and a commitment to seeing you fully as you are.

All I can ask for in a client is a willingness to learn and grow. The beginning of this journey can feel overwhelming, or even intimidating. I understand that and appreciate the strength it takes to reach out and try something different. I work best with clients who are feeling like they are in a place ready for change. Maybe they are feeling disconnected from themselves or having a hard time trusting their instincts. Working together, we will help you to start honoring yourself and your needs, focusing on what you've been through and how to create the life that feels authentic to you.

I'm also pursuing my PMH-C, because supporting parents during their perinatal season of life is near and dear to my heart.
Across years of practice, I began to notice a common thread underlying many of my clients’ struggles: grief. Grief is not limited to the loss of a loved one. It can emerge through changes in identity, relationships, childhood experiences, or the life we imagined for ourselves. Often, grief goes unrecognized, quietly shaping the way we relate to ourselves and others. My work focuses on helping clients uncover and process these hidden losses so they can better understand patterns in their lives, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with greater clarity and compassion.

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Therapists
What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?
The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.

When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?
Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.

How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?
A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioral therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviors. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.

Are there specific medications for postpartum depression?
In 2019, the FDA approved the first medication designed to treat postpartum depression. The medication is called brexanolone and is delivered intravenously by a medical professional over the course of a few days. However, typical antidepressants, which are more accessible, can also treat postpartum depression. The disorder is often best treated through a combination of medication and therapy.
