I respect the human capacity to survive and adapt to challenges - big and small, acute and chronic - but also the ability to make change given the right circumstances. Through my training, many modalities have been embedded into my practice including cognitive-behavioral techniques.

I assist clients to identify patterns in their relationships, break cycles, create healthier dynamics, and regulate their mood.  When working with me clients learn skills to trust themselves to improve their self-compassion and self-esteem through different life transitions.  Clients are also taught techniques for interpersonal communication to express themselves effectively to other people and set boundaries/limits in their relationships.

I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of New Jersey and I have been in practice for over fifteen years. I provide individual (children and adults), couples and family therapy. My work is guided by humanist principles that foster the growth of individuals in a therapeutic milieu. These include genuineness, acceptance and empathy.

As a psychologist for 42 years, 21 years as a school-psychologist, 22 years in private practice, I am frequently asked about my areas of specialty or my modes of treatment. I explain that what WE do (therapy is a joint effort) has everything to do with the person sitting in front of me.
