I have counseling experience in various settings such as outpatient, schools, and residential facilities. From working as the residential counselor at a boarding school for students with learning differences and social-emotional issues, I have helped individuals facing anxiety, trauma, depression , grief, loss of loved ones, and anger management. I have provided individualized and group counseling, along with crisis management and deescalation to teens and adults. I believe that unconditional positive regard, confidence-building, and providing a safe space for individuals to feel heard without judgement or bias is imperative.

Although I work with clients dealing with diverse treatment needs, I've worked extensively with clients struggling with eating disorders, stress, anxiety, transition to college/adulthood and depression .
Hi there! Asking for help can sometimes be the most difficult part. I'm so happy that you are exploring the idea of counseling. No matter what phase of life we are in, we all need support, and aren’t meant to take this journey alone. Worry, fear, panic, difficult thoughts, sadness, feeling “stuck”, or emptiness can affect us all in different seasons of our lives. While inner suffering is painful, my job as a therapist is to show you how to use your inner resources to achieve your optimal mental health.

Specifically I have experience with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression , stress management, parenting, life transitions, career counseling, and relationships.
Due to the current health climate, phone and video sessions are available. Seeking help can often be overwhelming. This process is one that should be based on relationships. The person must be someone willing to walk with you in a way that is trusting and respectful. These are attributes I strive to maintain in my day to day life.

These are anxious times that we live in. With each day, we are bombarded with so many unavoidable triggers. Your anxiety may have just begun, or like so many of us, intensified along with panic attacks and periods of depression . Your struggle is real and normal and I can help. I offer therapy that is a combination of talk therapy and the teaching of tangible tools. My goal is to help you manage triggers, reduce your symptoms and improve your day to day living. Believe it or not, you already have the skills to get yourself back on track. It's not magic. It's about mindset, empathy (for yourself) and having a safe, co-collaborator.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
