I work with clients who have experienced significant life stressors and are navigating anxiety, grief, or a sense of feeling misunderstood. They may be facing loss, transitions, relationship challenges, or unresolved experiences that continue to surface. I provide a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel safe exploring their emotions and making sense of their story. My clients are open to self-reflection and willing to engage in the work of healing, identifying patterns, and building tools to manage anxiety, cope with grief, and foster resilience and meaningful change.

Warmth and safety. That’s where I like to start. If you're considering therapy, you're already brave. Welcome to the edge of what's possible. I look forward to meeting you and walking alongside you on your journey of growth. Being a therapist has always felt like where I belong. I’m not a purist of any one treatment approach (CBT, SFBT, etc.). Each person has their own story, so no cookie-cutter modality works for everyone. Healing looks different for each of us. Where are the tender places you'd like to explore? I’m here to help.

My ideal client is someone who has accepted that they must take action to change. I work well with those who live with anxiety and depression, especially those who also have a trauma history. I'm excited to work with clients who are not only ready to understand themselves and the source of their difficulties but also ready to make changes to move forward from what is causing them pain. My ideal client would be someone who recognizes that healing is not a linear path and is willing to show themselves as much kindness and patience as they receive in my office.

I work with clients who are navigating early childhood trauma, peer relationships, and emotional or behavioral dysregulation, and who are seeking a safe space to better understand themselves. They may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to cope, but are open to learning and motivated for change. Many of my clients want stability, healthier relationships, and greater confidence in managing their emotions. They come to therapy ready to feel heard, build insight, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

I believe strongly that clients come in all different shapes and sizes and from different walks of life. Therefore, I do not have an ideal client, as my wish is to help anyone who needs it regardless of their experiences, needs, and goals. I welcome the experiences I will gain from having diverse clients.

My focuses are on EMDR, internal family systems, and cognitive behavioral therapy; however, each client's needs and goals will drive the chosen treatment modality.
My "ideal" client wants to improve their quality of life and reach their full potential, whether by changing a current behavior, resolving past distressing life experiences, or better-managing stress and anxiety.

Common feelings like "I don’t feel heard” or “I can’t seem to do anything right” are expressed by the couples I work with. Individual clients feel overwhelmed and stressed, “My life is changing dramatically and I’m not sure what to do next.”

On the outside, you look like you have it together. You’re showing up. Getting things done. Handling your responsibilities. But internally? You’re tired. Overwhelmed. Maybe even a little stuck. And at some point, you’ve probably told yourself: “I’m fine. I just need to get it together.” But if that were working… you wouldn’t be here. A lot of the people I work with are high-functioning. They’re managing work, relationships, and daily life—but behind the scenes, they’re dealing with anxiety, stress, burnout, or coping in ways they don’t feel great about. Not falling apart—but not okay either.

I pull from approaches like Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (focusing on what’s in your control), Internal Family Systems (connecting with different parts of you), and psychodynamic work (exploring early experiences).
Reaching out when you're not feeling your best can be intimidating, and you've already taken the first step!. (Killing it already!) My hope is that therapy becomes something you look forward to each week. I aim to find a sweet spot between compassion and honesty. I’m here to listen, support you, and gently challenge what might be getting in your way—and we’ll move at your pace! I work with a range of people and care deeply about supporting queer individuals and couples. With couples, I focus on communication, trust, and deeper understanding. I’m committed to an affirming, inclusive space where you can show up fully as yourself.

If you’re looking for someone who will simply nod along and ask, “How does that make you feel?” I may not be the right fit. My clients come to me because they want honest feedback, practical strategies, and meaningful change. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and direct. I will support you, but I will also challenge you. Therapy should be more than a place to vent—it should be a place where insight turns into action. Together, we will identify what’s keeping you stuck, confront the patterns that are no longer serving you, and develop practical solutions that move you toward the life you want.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
