My work with clients is integrative, insight-oriented, and grounded in a cognitive-behavioral framework with a trauma-focused lens.
Your first session is an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a sense of me as a therapist, and for me to learn about the current and long-term stressors that are leading you to seek therapy at this time. At the end of this session, I will offer recommendations for an effective course of treatment.

Dialectical behavioral therapy would also be used alongside trauma-focused techniques to process emotion and ensure safety.
My client would be someone seeking treatment for substance use disorder, PTSD and/or Personality disorders. This person would be seeking to gain resiliency and manage traumatic symptoms. Their goals could also include, but are not limited to, being able to increase self-esteem, self-worth, and self-awareness.

Over the past few years, I think we have all been through some trauma, especially our adolescents and teenagers. As a parent myself, I know that kids need an outlet and someone to talk to as they navigate the mental health struggles that have come from isolation and anxiety. It is my goal to help adolescents and teenagers work through various issues that they struggle with including depression, anxiety, PTSD, peer related struggles, ADHD struggles, low self esteem and many other disorders and struggles that adolescents and teens find it difficult to cope with and parents seem at a loss how to help.

I’m a warm, down-to-earth therapist who blends humor, curiosity, and evidence-based care to support adults navigating Autism, Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, and relationship stress. I most often work with autistic adults (late-diagnosed or self-identified) and people impacted by chronic stress or trauma, using EMDR, IFS, and other neurodiversity-affirming approaches.

I strive to provide a safe space to work through emotions and find effective ways to manage them. I help people process past experiences and current reactions that affect the decisions we make in order to promote healthy change and understanding of ourselves and our patterns. Oftentimes, we are not aware of the underlying things that influence our gut reactions which can create a barrier to us meeting the goals we set for ourselves. Counseling is a way to help you understand yourself better and to break down those barriers that stop you from moving forward.
