My work is solution-focused, strength-based, empowering, motivating, and encouraging. I focus on what you can do rather than what you cannot. I embrace a diverse clientele (including transgender) and issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, loss & grief, as well as trauma.

All are welcome. After 16 years of practice as a therapist, I have had the opportunity to worked in many different settings, and feel that I can provide a well rounded approach to treatment based on best practice research and ethical considerations.

I specialize in adolescent girls and women dealing with feelings of low self-worth. I have many years of experience working with people dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and difficulty coping. I am a trained family therapist, specializing in families with adolescents. I am currently seeing clients virtually who live in either NJ or NY.

I specialize in the treatment of addiction, trauma and PTSD, family conflicts, difficulty managing stress and emotions. The majority of my clinical experience has been practicing with adults seeking treatment for mental health issues, trauma and substance use disorders. I also have extensive experience working with older children, teens and their families from group home to in home settings.

It can be a tough decision and so I offer a 30 minute screening phone call to help decide if we would be a good fit for each other. I'll answer any questions that you may have and will refer you to another provider if I believe that they will be better suited to meet your mental health needs. I am person-centered and will be happy to serve you along this journey, making sure that your wants and needs are heard and making sure that you are the priority in your own treatment.

I can start explaining a little about myself.  How I like to work.  The last years, I've been working with a mixture of individuals using primarily psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, and CBT techniques.  I like to work with a small number of patients often over a period of time. So no quick fixes here. And if, after this initial session, you decide to move forward, we should aim to meet at this time and this location each and every week. The purpose, or the aim, is to create a time and a space which is entirely yours, week on week.

Offering both in person and tele-health, you will receive the highest quality of therapy from a fully licensed clinician (no intern or trainee's).Our therapists specialize in Addictions, Trauma, PTSD & EMDR Therapy, Anxiety, Depression, OCD, ADHD, Grief, & Family/Couples counseling. We have an in-house prescriber if you are in need of medications as well.

Despite having reached the pinnacle of my profession after nearly two decades of practice, it was my own struggle with learning disabilities, dual diagnosis and other medical conditions and issues, that changed my perspective and my life. I came to appreciate an approach which focuses on the here and now; solution focused and goal oriented. I found little solace in traditional therapeutic approaches which focused largely on the past, and went on for months with no real relief nor positive impact on my life or functioning. As such, I strive to help my clients achieve their goals and actualize their dreams using a coaching approach.

TMR, which stands for "Treat Me Right" is a private practice that offers a comprehensive integrative approach to mental health care. We offer psychotherapeutic services to people of all ages.
