My approach is psychodynamic but eclectic, in a way that is inclusive, creative and tailored to your needs. Psychodynamic psychotherapy works on the idea that there is more to be known about ourselves than we think. I am experienced working with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, chronic illness, relationship difficulties, family of origin issues, identity, grief, addiction, and trauma. Whether it is mental or emotional or pain that you are going through, I help you feel more aligned, quieter in your mind to gain insight and clarity.
My background is in social work and teaching, both in the UK and abroad. I have experience of migrating and settling in different countries and cultures and an understanding of the significant personal challenges migration brings. By providing a warm relational space your difficulties can be explored collaboratively with me. I offer Telehealth sessions.
Being of Indian descent, I am especially interested in matters of difference, identity, and cultural conflict. I practice a holistic and person centred approach to help you get unstuck, build insight and self awareness. I work on a short term or long term basis. Therapy with me is genuine and culturally sensitive to your unique world view.
