I adapt my approach to address your specific needs and can help you break behavior patterns quickly and improve relationships, self awareness, and self-esteem. I have advanced training in psychoanalytic, couple, group, DBT and Ketamine Assisted Therapy. I have expertise in treating eating disorders, personality disorders, addictive and compulsive behavior, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, high conflict couples, and grief and traumatic loss. I see adults, adolescents, couples, families and groups.

I use a flexible, integrative approach that focuses on changing behavior and then shifting long-standing unconscious patterns, beginning with the specific problems that bother you most. I provide longer term and more intensive psychotherapy to help all types of clients break out of self-defeating patterns and reach their potential.

With couples and families, I work on increasing communication skills so each person feels understood and supported. I help each individual feel better and uncover the roots of their difficulties. In longer term therapy, I use a relational psychodynamic approach to heal from trauma and shift unconscious patterns that keep you stuck. This group will help you examine your relationship patterns and get to know yourself better. In a safe environment, you will learn how others impact you and how your are perceived by others. Interpersonal group therapy helps members increase self awareness and support, give and receive feedback, and challenges members to create more authentic relationships. It is also a good place to explore how your own race and gender and those of others affect your identity and your relationships.

Interpersonal Training Group for Therapists

This new training group is open to all mental health graduate students and early career professionals. We will use the group process to explore intrapersonal and interpersonal dynamics. The group will enable participants to receive feedback about interactions, explore transference reactions and group roles, and attain greater levels of intimacy and self-awareness. We will also meet in person 1-2 times per year. This forum will allow you to connect with other therapists and gain support in doing this challenging work.
