The brain has an immense capacity to change and grow over a lifetime. Clinical research demonstrates that even a few months of mindfulness practice can be effective in treating chronic stress, depression, anxiety, addictions, and pain, and can boost performance under pressure, enhance relationships, and improve enjoyment of work. All the science is well and good, but in the midst of suffering and struggle, a method only works to the extent that it can be implemented. This is where a relationship with someone knowledgeable, skilled, and compassionate, who can partner with you along your unique path, can be of massive benefit.
Since 2007, I’ve taught mindfulness in clinics and the community, including five years of work in clinical neuroscience research. With me, you get a resource who knows the science, but instead of forcing your path into prescribed reductionistic steps, you’re invited into an authentic relationship that draws on your strengths, and moves on your terms.
Since 2012, I've offered mindfulness-based counseling in private practice. Clients and colleagues describe me as kind, down-to-earth, conscientious, dependable, and funny. Working together is a balance of goals and exploration. It’s really possible to have more peace, joy, and freedom in life. I truly enjoy this work and look forward to working with you!

To start we'll talk about your goals, modalities that might best support them, and the therapy relationship. Mindfulness, CBT, IFS are great for cutting through and working with thoughts/stories no longer serving you. Trauma-informed mind-body techniques support improved nervous system/emo regulation and ease. We acknowledge the social and cultural structures impacting your wellbeing and health.
