As an LCSW, Registered Play Therapist and Certified Trauma Practitioner, I enjoy helping individuals overcome their problems. I have been working with children, adolescents and their families for over 20 years and utilize expressive therapies, including art, play and yoga, to help them heal. Since the pandemic, I have shifted my focus towards working more with adults, parents and teens who experience anxiety, or are recovering from trauma or have symptoms of depression. Many of my clients desire guidance in life transitions and self love. I have since extended my practice to the Northern VA and Maryland area.
My experience with trauma is that fear, anxiety and depression are difficult things to live with. Trying to break free of these symptoms takes time, understanding and patience. My training with expressive therapies incorporates a trauma informed practice where we work together toward healing.
As a clinical social worker, a mom of two, and a clinical trainer/teacher, I connect with many of my clients on varied life experiences. And together, we walk that journey to meet their goals. Telehealth sessions are provided in a positive, safe, judge free space where my clients share and grow freely.
