Hi, I'm Nikki! I specialize in working with children and adolescents ages 3–17 and their caregivers. I believe true healing and growth happen through a supportive relationship where a child or teen feels seen and valued. I'm particularly passionate about walking alongside families facing challenges related to trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and foster care/adoption. I also have experience supporting kids and teens through struggles with suicidal ideation, self-harm, and identity concerns. Caregivers are a central part of my work—your insight, relationship, and involvement are incredibly valuable.
Therapy with children doesn't look like adult therapy—and it shouldn't. With young children, I use play therapy, expressive arts, and sand tray to meet them in the language they already speak. I draw from evidence-based methods like CBT, TF-CBT, and motivational interviewing to help youth process trauma, build coping skills, and make sense of big feelings.
I create a warm, inclusive space where kids feel safe enough to explore what's hard and caregivers feel supported walking alongside them. While sessions with older kids and teens are often more conversational, I still weave in art, games, and each person's individual interests and strengths to work toward goals in a way that feels comfortable and engaging.
