Hi! My name is Nikki Lowman. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NC. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and a trauma-informed therapist. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults (18-25). My clients have experienced traumatic events (neglect, abuse, bullying, foster care, domestic violence, sudden death of a loved one), distressing life events/major life changes (divorce of parents, frequency moves or change in homes, school changes) and/or difficult adjusting to other stressors or life changes.
I provide trauma-based and client-centered therapy to help clients find peace and serenity in the middle of many storms life can bring. My goal is to always help clients understand that when you cannot change your environment, you change the way you respond to your environment.
My approach to therapy is warm, interactive, collaborative and sometimes playful. My goal is to help clients find healing and to give them hope for the future. I believe we can all benefit from embracing our inner child more. I am here to support you on your journey to healing and creating a life worth living.
