I am most comfortable working with young adults to middle-aged individuals struggling with transitioning and settling into the world's expectations. These people feel unmotivated and are having a hard time getting simple tasks done. These people get stuck in the cycle of not being able to accomplish a task. They get upset by being unable to do it, worry about why they cannot do it, and then exhaust themselves to the point that they are paralyzed from doing the task. They want help, answers, and guidance. They want a break. If even just for one hour, they want to feel more alive.
We would work together to find the actions that reinforce the behaviors and thoughts. We would take a look at the family of origin dynamics. Each session would end with small tips to try to make each activity or day easier to manage. By the end of our time together, we would understand the triggers and create a tool kit of coping strategies.
You are not alone. You do not have to bear your burden alone. So reach out to me, and let me walk with you on this journey of life.
