I'm Nik, nice to meet you! We'll work well together if you are an adolescent, young adult, or older adult who is LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse, and/or experiencing depression/anxiety with a history of trauma. I view therapy as a process of guided and assisted change - like a road trip. You're behind the wheel while I ride along with you: helping to pick a destination, talking, or giving directions. Through this approach, I find the therapeutic journey is just as meaningful as the destination. We'll work to boost your confidence, strengthen your relationships, build skills, and explore the ways your history and experiences impact you.
I start from a person-centered, strengths-based perspective. We'll work together to treat you as a whole person with unique goals at your pace. I often incorporate tools from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as Art Therapy. I have also completed Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) training.
