Hi! My name is Nigel Poulton LMHC and I have been providing individual and group therapy to clients for over 15 years. I provide teletherapy to adults, 21-70, who are stuck in problems of anxiety, trauma, mild to moderate depression, and compulsions. I can also help with adjustment to life changes and as an ex police officer I work well with first responders. I also offer Christian counseling to those who ask for it. My clients tell me that I am friendly, accepting, and down to earth. I have a dry sense of humor.
The most important thing in therapy is the relationship between my clients and I. Each client and therefore client issue is unique, so I want to get to know you. I want to then apply scientifically sound concepts and processes that help you get unstuck from your issues. I coach you through the application of these processes that are effective with thoughts,
First sessions are nearly always evaluations so I will be asking many questions to get a clear picture of your issues and where you are stuck.
