Are you not feeling like your usual self? Are stress, work, family pressure, relocation and/or COVID overwhelming you? Is there just way too much going on? If you'd like to feel more calm, more relaxed, less upset, and more happy - let's chat. Sometimes our brain won't turn off and stop worrying, sometimes it is difficult to get out of bed or get a good night's rest, other times it is tough to buckle down and focus. Therapy can help - even if you're not sure how. I see mental health as part of one's overall wellness. My approach focuses not just on having fewer negative emotions, but also on experiencing more positive emotions.
I suggest tools that research has demonstrated are very effective for reducing suffering. I also assist you to see meaningful, practical change with compassion, warmth, and empathy with some sarcastic humor! But there is no cookie-cutter approach. We work together - openly and flexibly - to customize your therapy directly to your unique needs and strengths.
I frequently work with tech workers, high-achieving students and professionals, Bay Area transplants, new parents, and those coping with imposter syndrome, perfectionism, procrastination, and with shame, worry or guilt. I have a particular skill in working with women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals and folks new to therapy. I welcome your questions!
