About
As a mind-body oriented therapist, I believe that our thoughts, emotions, nervous system, and physical body are interconnected. I combine theories of talk therapy while emphasizing the need to feel, re-process, and experience new emotions in the room together. I value collaboration and will use a strength-based, person-centered approach in our work together. I view you as the expert on your life, my role as a therapist is to foster a safe space and guide the healing process. I am also a musician and work with artists who experience creative blocks and those whose mental health is impacted by the industry.
I use an integrative approach and draw primarily from Internal-Family Systems, Acceptance & Commitment therapy, CBT and mindfulness skills. I am also a trained Brainspotting Practitioner. Similar to EMDR, Brainspotting is designed to help folks access, process, and overcome trauma and negative emotions by using biolateral stimulation and focal points
