Everything can feel overwhelming during difficult times. Perhaps you've noticed that you have a short fuse lately. Maybe the demands of caregiving, a new job (or burnout from your current one), a recent stressful event or unresolved past difficulties taught you to think that you aren't deserving. Our response to stress and anxiety can range from difficult to debilitating if we don't have the tools to manage it. I have over 20 years of experience in the therapy profession with the goal of helping you understand yourself more deeply, identify those self-defeating thoughts that may be holding you back and better cope with change.
I use a person-centered and non-judgmental approach to establish therapeutic safety in which people are able to gain insight into their life circumstances. I have participated in specialized trainings in the areas of mindfulness, self-regulation, and trauma-focused CBT and will draw on these techniques to best support the needs of the individual.
I would like to help you explore your history and identify where you may have gotten stuck. I understand how difficult it can be to open up to someone new. My clients are often surprised by the ease at which they are able to share information upon meeting, and I strive to create a trusting relationship and confidential space for you to do the same.
