About
I view therapy as a collaborative relationship. By providing a respectful, judgment-free atmosphere, I hope you will feel comfortable sharing the thoughts, feelings and behaviors that are concerning to you. Through this cooperative and supportive process, my goal is that you will better understand and have compassion for yourself. It is my privilege to work with couples, individuals, and those in nontraditional relationships to help navigate life's challenges. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy and I use a variety of techniques from biological, psychosocial and spiritual perspectives.
I'm influenced by strengths-based theories like Narrative (which considers how you see yourself in the world and explores your beliefs) and EFT (in which your attachments and emotions are the focus). I also use the Prepare/Enrich assessment for premarital and married couples where we explore strengths and opportunities for growth in your relationship.
I believe therapy is a place for you to be heard without judgment, and for us to focus on your needs and growth. It can be an opportunity to examine your beliefs and goals and determine whether some of the stories you tell yourself need updating. I always feel privileged to be your partner in this process.
